This is necessary to maintain here that is was very difficult time to fulfill the Demand of Raw Materials for Small Scale Unit of Plastic Processor during the last three years i.e.  1985, 86 and 87. Due to such problems of Raw Material shortage. it was also difficult to run the Industry.

At the same time so many Processors sent their complains to writing and runs to IPCL  Authority, requesting them to supply Raw Material in time.  But as we know our Saurashtra Region is always faced in justice in all matter.  No  body attending towards our complains. 

The Chairman of IPCL Shri Hasmukhbhai Shah address the function and advice the delegates to form a Regional Association of the Saurashtra Region.  It is very important thing that all the delegates present in the function have decided at the same time to Establish a Regional Association under the name   & style of SPMA.  It was also decided unanimously to appoint Shri Sureshbhai Sanghvi as a President, of Paramount Group.  Under the leadership of Sureshbhai Sanghvi this Association established in the year 1988-89.  At that time 40 Plastic units join as a Founder President of SPMA represent our problems before the higher authorities and after very soon get the solution of our problems.

This Association has organized their First Annual Seminar in the year 1989/90.  After the successful Seminar lot of Plastic Processors run to the Association for obtaining the Membership.  Within one year membership strength become  200 members.

We have tow type of Membership category :

Ordinary Members  : It is reserved only for Plastic Processors, situated in Saurashtra & Kutch region.

Associate Members : The units associated with Plastic Industry such as Machinery Manufacturers, Colors Dyes & Chemicals, Traders & Suppliers of Raw Materials, Dye Makers etc.

 Association organize two function during the year. One A.G.M. and Second Annual Seminar.

In the beginning stage, we have also organized Picnic Tour, Half yearly Meetings. But after some years, it was advisable to organize Seminar on completion of Two Year.

As per Article of our Association, we arrange Election of the Office Bearers for the Term of Two years.  We believe in co-operation, hence, we avoid Election and adopted the Selection, on rotation system.

The members of this association in act on Principle of Team work. The result of team works gave good financial strength as well as membership strength of 750 members.  We are having our own office Premises in the middle of the City, near S.T. Bus Station.  We have a full furnished Air-condition Conference Hall wherein 100 members can seat easily.

we have organize our 9th Seminar on 29-01-05  at Hemu Gadhvi Natya Gruh, Rajkot.  Generally more than 1100 Delegates always participate in all Seminar.  Now we expect that in the next seminar our membership strength would be more then 1000 Members.
